Function / Content

This series originally consisted of one volume that contains landing grounds [airstrips] in the Northern Territory. This series now consists of two folders with plastic sleeves. The first folder contains numbers 1 to 44 and the cover with the verso showing the index to the 72 landing grounds and the page reference. The second folder contains the numbers 45 to 72..The landing grounds vary from towns, communities, missions and bores, with a map of showing each area/locality, scale, latitude and longitude. The maps have been drawn/copied from field notes and other plans with the information noted on each page where the information came from.
